Examples: Calculate resistance of conductor, and calculate size of conductor

These are two examples. Example 1 is to calculate resistance of a metal with resistivity 1E-8 ohm-cm, and circle cross section (d=1E-5cm) and length=1cm.  Example 2 is to calculate length of the conductor to have desired resistance  (see figure 3)

In main menu, click Popular services>Semiconductor,  then click Resistance of conductor.  Then choose cross section as circle from the list, give resistivity 1E-8 ohm-cm of the material, check Calculate I(V) & W(V).  Figure 1 shows the setup input.

Click next step button to calculation page. Give diameter of 1E-5 and length of 1cm, and optionally operation voltage of 2V. Click calculate button to get resistance. Figure 2 shows input to get the results.

Example 2 is to calculate length of the conductor to have desired resistance 127.3ohm.  Input resistance 127.3, and diameter of 1E-5cm.  If current and power calculation is required, gives voltage applied. In my case, I do not want to calculate it and leave the voltage input as blank. Bottom row of figure 3 shows the input. Click calculate button to get results as shown in the 2nd row. In this case, the length is obtained as 1 cm.
